Sometimes the future comes faster than expected. As I wrote on the 9th of December, [link] , somewhere in the future I wanted to digitalize my old pictures
Well, the future has arrived. This week I got my negative scanner, a Reflecta Proscan 4000. Not new, but it is in 100 % good condition. Since the highest resolution is 3600 dpi, I can make from a 24 x 36 mm negative a ~ 16 Megapixel digital image.

Unfortunately this scanning also will reveil the quality of the equipment I used in the past. Instead of a paper picture on 15 x 10 cm, I will see the picture on my 19" screen, much bigger, thus revealing all kinds of irregularities.

Nevertheless I hope that some of these pictures will be worth placing on DA.
